Easter 2009

I had such a great day with my family! We all went to church together and then had lunch at mom and dads house. We took naps and had a fun little Easter egg hunt with Will. I think he had a blast outside and really enjoyed finding all his eggs (with some help from his mommy and Uncle Ryan). Holidays have always meant a lot to me, but now with Will in our family, that child like innocence that I remember when I was little always comes back and makes the day extra special.

Little Weave turns 1....

And what a celebration it was! We all had a blast getting to spend time with him on his special day! Is swear he received so many gifts it looked like 2 or 3 Christmases instead of one birthday. He got a speed racer car, a radio flyer wagon, clothes, a rocking horse, a remote controlled Tigger toy, books, and more. My poor sis is gonna have to buy another house soon, just to hold all of his things!

And it is safe to say that he is now a Julia's bakery fan for sure. He was kinda slow at the start, but once that frosting hit his tongue, it was all over.....his day ended in the bath, covered in blue frosting and cake.....YUM!

Little man, we are so very proud of you and we love you with all our hearts! Happy "1st" Birthday!

Will,

From the moment your mommy told me she was having a baby, I fell in love with you. As I write this now, my eyes are filling with tears because I am overjoyed at how happy you have made me this past year. You are a miracle and a true blessing from God. I was so thrilled to be there for your first breath and in awe when I heard your voice for the first time. I am still in awe. I enjoy every minute with you and I always leave looking forward to the next time I will see you. You are growing so fast, but what an amazing journey it has been to see how fast you are learning and how smart you are. I am so proud of you and I love you with all my heart. Being an aunt has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. So, today I wish you a Happy 1st Birthday my sweet boy and I look forward to many, many more to celebrate.

Goals....just goals....

So, my first post of 2009.....wow, hard to believe another year has come and gone, but I am looking forward to the new year and the new adventures that are ahead of me. This year I decided not to make any New Year's resolutions, but rather some goals for myself on a personal and business level. (time to stretch my fingers...this is gonna be a long one)

As many of you know, I have had an 8-5 job ever since I started my business many years ago and it has always been a struggle for me to have to do both. I have felt like my 8-5 has taken away from my business and my ability to give 100% to my photography clients. And I do believe it is true on some level. But I have decided this year to try my best and not focus on the fact that I have to work 8-5 for now but rather to focus more on the clients I do have rather than fret about the ones I don't. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do(photography that is) and I love meeting new clients and having them become more like friends in the long run, but I need to take a step back and regroup. I want to learn more about the business side and take more ownership in this business that carries my name. Being a small business owner these days is tough, but I am truly grateful for the clients and friends that have been such a blessing in my life and have been there solid for me through the many bumps in the road. For those of you that had other options, but chose me, to you I am forever grateful. It means the world that you would trust me with your precious memories! Sinclair Photography has come a long way since I started out with my film camera and I am excited to see what awesome things God has in store for me on this journey. So, saddle up and come along with me and if you're already on the journey, I would love for you to stay and experience all the cool things that come along.....

And on a personal note....I want to take more time this year for me. I love reading and I want to make more time for it. I want to spend more time with my husband just laughing and being goofy. I want to see my sister and my nephew more often(he is 10 months today by the way-where has the time gone). I want to be serious about being financially free(we WILL do it babe). I want to exercise more just to improve my over all health. I want to get closer to God and spend more time with Him. I hope you are all able to have goals in your life and I hope you all succeed in reaching them. :)

Winter Wonderland....well for TN anyways...

OK,OK......I know. I am way behind on my blogs, but I must admit this has been our busiest season in a while. And I can only hope that it continues to be busy for us. Because that means I am getting closer to my goal of doing photography FULL TIME! We are currently not taking appointments during the month of December, just to prepare for our 2009 season! We are looking to add more products, new albums and a few price changes. But not to worry...for those 2009 brides that have already booked, you are locked in at the 2008 rate! But anyways, I do apologize about being so behind on the blog these days. I have had several friends here lately tell me how they check my blog daily and noticed I haven't been posting anything, so thanks for lighting that fire under my rear and now hopefully I can get back in the swing of things!! So my post is Winter Wonderland and it truly was a sight to see this morning! And I know to all of our friends up North, they are probably laughing at what "little" we had, but to all of us here in good 'ole Tennessee, SNOW of any kind is a big deal. So I had to get out and snap a few photos. Just to document the fact that we did have some snow this year! I love snow and all that makes it feel more like the Holidays! So, here are a few shots from my neck of the woods.....and maybe this won't be the last snow we'll see this year! What a way to start the day......

OK, so I'm feeling way under the weather today. My throat is on fire and I'm starting to ache all over. I'm at home and I thought well it hurts to talk and editing requires no talking, so what the hey...I'll wrap up a couple of jobs I've been working on. So, I settle in, get comfy, turn on my monitor and.......NOTHING! I quickly call my brainy computer genius husband, and he tells me I'm gonna need a new video card. So, with all that being said.....all of the editing jobs I have open right now are now going to be delayed for a couple of days! Not too terrible, but it's definitely frustrating for me and all of my excited clients. I will get these out as soon as my trusty computer is back up and running..... As for now....I'm off to the couch with a huge glass of orange juice(gotta pump that vitamin C) and hopefully I'll be better by tomorrow! Much Love!

9/11

All of us remember where we were and what we were doing when we heard about the Trade Center 7 years ago today. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was just about to leave for work and my mom and I were watching the Today show when the live feed came in and all eyes were on New York. We could all see the first tower on fire, but moments later when the plane flew into the second tower we all held our breath, knowing that this was no accident. I will never forget that day, and no one ever will. And my heart goes out to all of the families who will never get to hold their loved ones again on this side of eternity, but in Christ they will be united again! So, take the time today and everyday to tell your family and friends just how much you love them, because we are not promised tomorrow. Life is too short and 9/11/01 reminded us of that. So, to my husband, family and friends-I love you all so very much and I cherish our time together on this earth. I am truly blessed! Much Love.....

The countdown has begun! Ryan and I will be Aunt and Uncle in 7 days! We are so very excited and cannot contain our joy when thinking about what an awesome thing this is for our family!! Happy Love Day........

Well, Valentine's Day has come and gone, but I had a great one this year(and every year really)! Ryan sent a dozen roses to work and cooked one of my favorite meals! And after dinner we enjoyed some strawberry cheesecake and cuddled up to a wonderful romantic comedy! I am truly blessed to have such a sweet hubby! I hope you all had a wonderful day! Good Times........

Today was the best! I got to hang with my sis for a good part of the day. We went to breakfast together and she treated me to a wonderful pedicure(courtesy of Top Nails on Northfield). I got a chance to see Will's nursery and newly painted/decorated bathroom! It is adorable! I can't wait for him to arrive. Tara is 35 weeks and 2 days today, so he could show up at any minute! Out of town...

I am going to be an AUNT!!!!

Well, everyone...it is official! I am going to be an aunt! My sister found out on Tuesday, 7/3 , that she is expecting. My husband Ryan and I are thrilled. We're already thinking about what we will need to prepare our house for our new niece or nephew. I can't wait. This child will be spoiled rotten, thanks to us!! :) Please everyone pray for a safe and healthy pregnancy! Thanks.... Much Love...
